We offer a variety of tests for flammability that follow all necessary guidelines for FAA compliance.
At every turn, FAA compliance is vital to reduce delays & unexpected issues in your development stages. The FAA madates require every interior component to be tested for flammability; so we set out to build the most advanced facility in the country. We have ensured our facilities & staff are certified & authorized for every step of the testing & inspection processes to ensure compliance will not be an issue for your product development stage.
​Blue Flame Lab serves both private & commercial aviation designers & manufacturers, as well as OEM & MRO facilities, completion centers, & outfitters.
Our facility has FAA-authorized DERs & DARs (Designated Engineer Representative and Designated Airworthiness Representatives) on staff, with authority to perform conformity inspections, witness testing, & to issue FAA Form 8110-3 flammability certification documentation. We even have DER on staff with the authority to issue TSO amendments.
These are only a few reasons we’re able to provide such a short lead time, as we specialize in minimizing & mitigating risk for our clients. With our full authorization to approve minor alterations related to flammability, & our complete on-site upholstery shop, we are aviation's premiere one-stop facility for flammability testing & inspection for FAA compliance.
